World Cup Brazil Loses to Holland 1-2, Dunga takes blame.

Brazil coach Dunga has never really been popular with most Brazilian fans as Brazil’s National team coach and losing in the World Cup is almost a guarantee his contract won’t be renewed.

His blunt attitude, uncarrissmatic ways and anti-media stance did not endear most Brazilians, who are known for their charm and friendliness. Although Dunga coached Brazil to the 2007 Copa America and 2009 Confederations Cup titles, success in Brazil is measured only with World Cup victory.

It looked like it was going to be a runaway for Brazil, when they scored early in the first period, then shortly after scored again but the second goal was disallowed because of offsides. The Dutch team didn’t back down though and got physical with the Brazilians, scoring the 1st off a ricocheted ball of a Brazilian players head, and the second off an amazing two header goal.

Kaka, Brazil’s Golden Boy, had less than a spectacular World Cup experience. Kaka never seemed to catch a groove the entire series, got ejected against Ivory Coast, went goal-less and was pretty much neutralized by the Dutch team with their physical play.

But the main blame falls on Dunga. Brazilian fans and media vocally criticized Dunga being appointed despite having no coaching experience on any level.
Dunga was further criticized for leaving top Brazilian players such as Ronaldinho, Ronaldo and Adriano off the team and instead choosing lesser known players with little or no World Cup Experience who some think he could control easier.

2014, Rio de Janeiro, the World Cup comes to Brazil and you can bet that tomorrow, Brazil starts to prepare, as nothing but a win will be acceptable.
