With Miami Beach as her inspiration, Nica Kessler shows her collection with short skirts and dresses with high waistlines. Art Deco another inspiration from Miami shows it influence in the patterns.

Backstage at Fashion Rio. Brazilian models and fashions by Walter Rodrigues.

Walter Rodrigues’ collection: Africa Chic with a touch of Japan, simple forms and straight lines, lots of neutrals with browns, sandy and marine colors are a change from the usual bright bold colors associated with Africa.  The collection contains plaids, flower print and camouflage in contrast with the smooth all black Brazilian models in a graphical bicolored composition. The runway was a surprise with many colorful doors opening and closing where models would appear and disappear from the catwalk.

Brazilian model and actress Michelle Martins is back as host of theBrazilShow. Michelle’s been traveling all over Brazil performing in the stage play “:Dona Flor and Her Two Husbands.”
