Rio+20

Running together, Rio + 20 and Humanidade 2012 – this is a BIG week for Rio de Janeiro. Over 7000 Military and Police have been added to the streets for security, Naval ships patrol off the coast and traffic is horrendous!

Rio+20 is the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development and will take place a Rio Centro convention center as well as various points around the city. Download your Rio+20 Information guide

Humanidade 2012 is designed to highlight the important role that Brazil currently plays as a global leader in the debate on sustainable development. This event is open to the public and takes place at the Forte de Copacabana through June 22. More information at the site HUMANIDADE 2012
