Team Fazza 3 from Dubai was the victor in the first leg of the 2010 Class 1 season. Billionaire, Eike Batista, richest man in Brazil and 8th richest in the world is a former Powerboat racer and is responsible for bringing Class 1 to Brazil. The 3 day event was held at the Marina da Gloria in Rio de Janeiro and covered by all major Brazilian networks. Many foreign stations also travelled to Brazil to cover the Class 1 event which is the first major international sports event in Brazil since winning the 2016 Olympics.
