<div id="_mcePaste"><em><strong>Baile funk</strong></em>, is a type of <em>dance music from Rio de Janeiro</em>, derived from Miami bass and rap. In Rio de Janeiro it is most often simply known as <strong>funk</strong>, although it is very different musically from what funk means in most other places. &#8220;Baile funk&#8221;, in Rio, refers not to the music, but to the actual parties in which the music is played.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste">Through co-opting of the street gang the Black Spades into the music and culture-oriented <strong>Universal Zulu Nation</strong>, Afrika Bambaataa is responsible for spreading hip hop culture throughout the world. On September 27, 2007, <em>Afrika Bambaataa was nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame</em>. This is Afrika Bambaataa&#8217;s first <strong>trip to Brazil</strong> to perform.</div>
