Brazil 2014 World Cup Logo

Brazil has selected it’s logo for the upcoming 2014 World Cup in Rio de Janeiro, three hands in green and yellow with a reddish tint forming the World Cup Trophy, but response has not been too positive so far, with many Brazilians Twittering and posting online jokes about it. One comment stated that the design was very poor and cheap looking, and others stating that much better designs appeared online before this one was announced as the official logo.

My opinion, I think they could have made a better choice. I’ve seen some very creative designs online myself and Brazilians are very creative, artistic people and I don’t think this really represents it that well..

Rio Beach Girl

After all the rainy weather, Rio de Janeiro is looking at sunny weather and mid 80′s for the next week. This is a relief for residents and vistors to Rio.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil has been under the microscope lately with rain, revenue from oil funds, questions about the World Cup and the 2016 Rio Olympics.

After a week of gloom, the warm weather and sunshine returning is welcome and well needed for the city dwellers and visitors to Rio.

So if you’re planning on a trip to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil this week, pack your sunscreen and your swimsuits and be assured you’ll have beautiful days to relax, work on that tan and take in the beach.
